Motivation

In late 2015, when drones were slowly becoming affordable for consumers, I bought a DJI Phantom 3. Drone Photography has always been fascinating to me since you get to see perspectives you normally don’t get to experience. I spent the next few years traveling across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands and putting it to use. In this article, you will find some of my favorite shots I have taken on this journey.

The Altfels (German for ‘Old Rock’) is a lonely rock formation in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

To many Castles

Germany is known for having plenty of castles (German words for castle: ‘Burg’ or ‘Schloss’). Castles are also great subjects for drone photography. In many regions of the Germany, monuments dedicated to Prince Otto von Bismarck, the long-serving Prussian minister and first German Reichskanzler, can be found. This Bismarck tower can be found in Viersen.
